Peaulon collects personal information to take your order, deliver it, support you afterwards and run our store. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to peaulon.com and to any email, phone or chat contact with us.

Information You Give Us

  • Order details: name, billing address, delivery address, email address and phone number.
  • Payment details: processed by our payment provider. We receive only the card brand, the last four digits, the expiry month and the authorization result. We never see or store your full card number or CVV.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your email address, a hashed password and your saved addresses and order history.
  • Support content: the messages, photos, videos and serial numbers you send when you contact us about a return, a warranty claim or an assembly question.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address if you subscribe, and whether you have opted out.
  • Business enquiries: company name, EIN, trade references and the other details you submit when applying for net terms.

  • Pages viewed, products viewed, time on site, referring site and search terms used to find us
  • Cart activity, including items added and abandoned

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes. We share only what is needed, with:

  • Payment processors to authorize and capture your payment
  • Shipping carriers and freight terminals, which need your name, address and phone number to deliver and to schedule a freight appointment
  • Manufacturers, where a warranty claim requires the serial number and fault details to be submitted on your behalf
  • Technology providers that host our site, send our email and run our analytics and live chat, all under contracts that limit them to processing on our instructions
  • Professional advisors and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our customers or public safety
  • A successor business, if Peaulon is ever sold or merged. You would be notified before your information became subject to a different policy.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or sharing, which for us is straightforward because we do neither, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute, and we extend the same handling to every customer regardless of state.

To make a request, email info@peaulon.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We verify your identity through the email address on your order, respond within 45 days, and extend by a further 45 days only where the request is complex, in which case we tell you why. Requests are free unless they are repetitive or excessive.

You can also unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message, without affecting the transactional emails about an order you have placed.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends it, and treat it as an opt-out of any sharing for targeted advertising. There is no single industry standard for Do Not Track browser headers, so we do not respond to those separately.

Security

Our site runs over TLS encryption, payments are handled by PCI DSS Level 1 compliant processors, access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, passwords are stored hashed, and we review our systems and access rights regularly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected customers and the relevant authorities without undue delay if a breach affecting personal information occurs.

Children

Peaulon sells powered equipment intended for adults and our store is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided us with information should contact info@peaulon.com.

Third-Party Links

Our pages may link to manufacturer sites, carrier tracking pages and other external resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.

Where Your Data Is Processed

Peaulon operates from Ohio and processes data in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy law may differ from the law where you live.

Changes to This Policy

We update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes are announced by email to account holders and by a notice on the site before they take effect.
